A Flanged Y-type strainer is a pipeline filtering device designed to remove solid particles (such as rust, sand, and scale) from fluid media. It features a Y-shaped body with a removable stainless steel screen, and flanged connections for easy installation between pipeline flanges. It efficiently protects pumps, valves, meters and other downstream equipment from damage or blockage, characterized by low flow resistance, simple structure, and convenient maintenance.

Installation and Maintenance

nstall with the strainer leg (blowdown port) pointing downward for proper sediment collection.
Align flow direction with the arrow marked on the body.
Install before pumps, valves or sensitive equipment.
Isolate and depressurize before opening for cleaning.
Regularly remove and clean/replace the filter screen.
Use the blowdown plug to flush debris without disassembly (if equipped).
