Installation and Maintenance

Installation Guide

Clean female pipe threads and male Plug Fig 290 BSPTthreads, remove burrs, dust and impurities.
Wrap PTFE tape or apply BS EN standard liquid sealant evenly on the male threads of the Plug Fig 290 BSPT.
Hold the top of the Plug Fig 290 BSPTwith a wrench and screw it into the female pipe until the beaded surface makes contact for sealing.
Tighten steadily and symmetrically, torque meets BS EN standard requirements, avoid over-tightening to prevent cracking.
After installation, conduct pipeline pressure test at 1.5 times working pressure according to BS EN standard to ensure no leakage.
