This product is a malleable iron threaded 90° street Bend Fig 1 BSPT with one female end and one male end, a key pipe fitting used to change the direction of fluid flow in pipeline systems. Its one female and one male thread structure can directly realize corner connection of different pipelines, ensuring smooth directional flow of media such as water, oil, gas and steam.

Fire Protection Systems: Used for connecting fire sprinkler branch pipes and fire hydrant risers at turns, suitable for wet or dry fire protection pipe networks, especially for narrow space scenarios.

Must be used with PTFE tape or oiled hemp for thread sealing.
Can be used together with gate valves, globe valves, tees, unions, and other fittings of the same specification.
Installation Guide:
1.Inspection: Before installation, check the internal and external surfaces of the Bend Fig 1 BSPT for sand holes and cracks, ensure the female and male threads are complete without breakage.
2.Cleaning: Remove iron chips and dirt from the pipe ends.
3.Sealing: Wind an appropriate amount of PTFE tape clockwise (recommended 15-20 turns) or apply oiled hemp onto the male thread of the Bend Fig 1 BSPT.
4.Tightening: Screw the Bend Fig 1 BSPT into the pipe joint by hand, then tighten with a pipe wrench. Use moderate force to avoid cracking the fitting. It’s recommended to secure the pipe near the Bend Fig 1 BSPT with a pipe clamp to reduce vibration.
Maintenance Tips:
1.Inspection Cycle: It is recommended to visually inspect the Bend Fig 1 BSPT every six months, especially at threaded connections, checking for signs of rust or leakage.
2.Cleaning Method: Wipe the surface dust with a clean, damp cloth. For rust removal, use a wire brush to clean and then apply anti-rust paint.
3.Replacement Cycle: Generally, if there is no mechanical damage or severe corrosion, it can be used for over 10 years. If the Bend Fig 1 BSPT shows sand holes, deformation, or cracks due to freezing, replace it immediately.
