Product Overview

This product is a malleable iron flat seat union with male & female threads, manufactured in accordance with BS EN standards. With one female end and one male end and flat face sealing structure, it is convenient for pipeline disassembly, maintenance and connection, widely used in water, oil, gas, steam and fire protection piping systems.

Made of high-quality malleable iron with high-temperature annealing treatment, it features good toughness, high strength and resistance to cracking. The flat seat sealing surface ensures tight fitting and reliable sealing, easy to assemble and disassemble with reusability. Available in electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized or black finish, it is corrosion-resistant, easy to install and suitable for various pipeline nodes requiring frequent maintenance.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation

1. Inspect the union before installation to ensure no cracks, sand holes, deformation and intact sealing surface
2. Clean pipe ends and internal threads of union to remove impurities
3. Wrap PTFE tape or apply sealant on male threads, and install gasket at flat seat if needed
4. Connect male end first, then tighten union nut evenly
5. Conduct pressure test after installation and put into use only after no leakage is confirmed

Maintenance

1. Regularly check the union joint for leakage, looseness or corrosion
2. Avoid knocking the sealing surface during disassembly to prevent damage and leakage
3. Touch up with anti-rust paint in outdoor or humid environments to extend service life
4. Replace immediately in case of seal failure or thread damage
