Product Overview

This product is a 90° M&F union Elbow Fig 98BSPT made of malleable iron, manufactured in accordance with BS EN standards. With one female thread and one male thread, it integrates a detachable union structure, combining pipeline direction change and convenient maintenance. It is suitable for compact piping systems that require turning and frequent assembly and disassembly.

Made of high-quality black heart malleable iron with high-temperature annealing, it features good toughness, stable pressure resistance and is not easy to crack. The union provides tight and reliable sealing with high-precision threads for flexible and efficient installation. Available in electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized or black finish, it is corrosion-resistant with a long service life, widely used in water, gas, steam, fire fighting and industrial low-pressure fluid pipelines.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation

1. Inspect the union Elbow Fig 98BSPTbefore installation to ensure no cracks, sand holes, deformation and intact sealing surface
2. Clean impurities and burrs at pipe ends and threads to keep connecting surfaces clean
3. Wind PTFE tape clockwise or apply pipe thread sealant on male threads
4. Connect the male end first, then tighten the union nut evenly to avoid overloading
5. Conduct pressure test after installation and use only after no leakage or looseness is confirmed

Maintenance

1. Regularly check joints of the union Elbow Fig 98BSPTfor leakage, looseness and corrosion
2. Avoid knocking the sealing part during disassembly to prevent sealing failure
3. Apply anti-rust paint in outdoor or humid environments to prolong service life
4. Replace immediately if cracks, seal damage or thread wear occur
