Product Overview

This product is a male & female Union Fig 343 BSPTwith malleable iron body and brass seat, manufactured in strict accordance with BS EN standards. It has one female end and one male end, equipped with brass sealing seat for better sealing performance, wear resistance and high temperature resistance, mainly used in pipeline systems requiring frequent assembly and high sealing reliability.

Made of high-quality black heart malleable iron through high-temperature annealing, it features good toughness, high strength and resistance to cracking. The brass seat provides excellent corrosion resistance and tight sealing, enabling easy assembly and longer service life. Available in electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized or black finish, it is widely used in water, hot water, gas, steam, fire fighting and industrial fluid pipelines.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation

1. Inspect the Union Fig 343 BSPTfor cracks, sand holes and smooth brass seat without damage
2. Clean pipe ends and threads to remove impurities
3. Wind PTFE tape clockwise or apply sealant on male threads
4. Install the male end first, then tighten the nut evenly to avoid over-tightening
5. Pressure test after installation and use only after no leakage is confirmed

Maintenance

1. Regularly check joints for leakage, looseness and corrosion
2. Avoid hitting the brass seat during disassembly to prevent sealing failure
3. Apply anti-rust paint in outdoor or humid environments to prolong service life
4. Replace immediately if brass seat is worn, threads damaged or sealing fails
