Installation and Maintenance

Installation

1. Inspect the side Outlet Elbow Fig 1221 A197 NPTbefore installation to ensure no sand holes, cracks, deformation and intact threads
2. Clean iron chips, dust and debris at pipe ends to keep connecting surfaces clean
3. Wind PTFE tape clockwise or apply pipe thread sealant on male threads
4. After hand-tightening, use a pipe wrench to tighten evenly to avoid cracking due to excessive force
5. Pressure test after installation; put into use only after confirming no leakage and looseness

Maintenance

1. Regularly check joints for leakage, thread looseness and surface corrosion
2. Paint anti-rust paint regularly in outdoor or humid environments to extend service life
3. Replace immediately in case of cracks, deformation, leakage or serious corrosion
