This product is a malleable iron threaded reducing tee (Fig 131R), manufactured in accordance with BS EN standards. It is used for branching, merging and reducing connection in pipeline systems. The 131R structure features smooth flow passage transition and low flow resistance, enabling stable connection between main pipes and branch pipes of different diameters. It is widely suitable for water, oil, gas, steam and fire protection pipeline systems.

Made of high-quality malleable iron with high-temperature annealing treatment, it has good toughness, impact resistance and is not easy to crack, with high-precision threads and reliable sealing. Available in electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized or black finish, it is corrosion-resistant, easy to install and has a long service life. Sizes range from DN15 to DN100 to meet the reducing and branching needs of various engineering pipelines.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation

Inspect the tee before installation to ensure no sand holes, cracks, deformation and intact threads
Clean iron chips, dust and debris at pipe ends to keep connecting surfaces clean
Wind PTFE tape clockwise or apply pipe thread sealant on male threads
After hand-tightening, use a pipe wrench to tighten evenly to avoid cracking due to excessive force
Pressure test after installation; put into use only after confirming no leakage and looseness

Maintenance

Regularly check joints for leakage, thread looseness and surface corrosion
Paint anti-rust paint regularly for outdoor or humid environments to extend service life
Replace immediately in case of cracks, deformation, leakage or serious corrosion
